Stolen recovered k74 won’t start

#1 by Thekane90 , Mon Jan 18, 2021 8:09 am

So, I bought my truck from Copart as a non runner as it was stolen recovered.

The damage the thieves have done is smash the steering cowel to pieces to get to the immobiliser antenna and wires around the ignition barrel.

Got a new battery for the truck and it turns over fine so that’s good.

Next step is to get an immobiliser antenna today. The one that sits around the ignition barrel and hopefully it will start up.

Is there anyone who’s had this before ? Weill I have to get the key recoded ?

Also had to buy bee door locks as the drivers side one was smashed to bits.

Thanks

Marc

Cheers mate. I’ve ordered antenna now so I’ll see what that does. After that I’ll try what you said. Cheers

It’s alive 😁

New immobiliser antenna fitted and it fired up first time. Took it for a quick spin and all seems to be in good order.

Happy days
