Side lights

#1 by AD , Thu Jul 08, 2021 1:43 pm

Side lights have today decided to stay on.
Relays have been taken out and they stay on.
The light cluster has been removed and they still stay on.
All ideas welcome.

Are you saying that they stay on permanently? Does the light switch operate the dip beam and main beam but just wont switch the lights off? If so, I have heard of L200s which can have a switch problem, what you can do to check if the switch is at fault is to remove the plug at the switch, if the light stays on then you have a short to ground in the wiring harness.
If the light go out, remove and repair or replace the light switch

Yes I have taken switch out but lights stay on so looks like wiring has a permanent live from somewhere
