Big Bad Barbarian - 6.5k MILES!!! 175bhp.

#1 by billymadbiker , Sat May 18, 2013 6:30 pm

Ok,
So, once a year I get something good.
This year it's really good

175bhp Barbarian. All the pull but 32mpg
This is a 2010 truck, so it's still on the 12.5k service intervals. It's got the silky smooth tiptronic box in it, It's done nothing. 6,500 miles.

Aside from the usual top-of-the-range barbarian spec - leather/all the power everythings/traction asc/cruise control/power rear cab window/light up logos in the door sills etc. she rolls with:
Full body coded bumper, forget those nasty cheep looking black plastic bits around the front of the normal ones.. plus a few other little tweaks as you can see..
It's got the 7000 series kenwood touchscreen nav unit, which is a much higher spec than the current 5000 series the 2012's come with, remote control, bluetooth hands free, ipod/usb, reversing camera. Towing eye has also been enabled so you can watch a trailer etc all the time if you want to.
Multi-function display (you don't normally get this on a barbarian)
Sports top on gas assist struts, easy to remove (2 people in 5 mins) if you want to use the full load bed area,
Genuine Mitsubishi bed rug, being the longbed you can snuggle up quite nicely in the back of this and sleep like a baby.
Towbar with twin electrics,
and so on and so on..

I am not going to say it is in perfect condition as my idea of perfect may be a much higher standard than yours. But this truck is mint. Come and have a look, even if you have no intention of buying it. There is a good local pub and I will buy a complete stranger a pint for every imperfection they find on it. (if you can't find anything you buy me a steak). I have just had her put through pdi inspection (which is what mitsubishi dealers do to a new car when it arrives off the boat)
Result was 'ready for retail', this is only the 3rd car this year that has passed clean, the average for a brand new, unregistered truck is 3 points that need addressing.

There is no tax on it, It still has full Mitsubishi Warranty until August which is when the first mot will be due. I can tax after the sale if required, I can put a years mot on it now if you like. Obviously ANY inspection is welcome.

I also have a few other bits and bobs for this truck that I will offer if it goes to somebody from the forum..
Lock & Load rail system for the cargo area (genuine/new)
Genuine set of 20" wheels, You can either have the barbarian wheels as fitted (tyres are obviously like new) or swap them for the 20" LeMans with part worn P-Zero tyres on
Various leads & interfaces for the Kenwood nav unit, allow you to run amps/subs/tv screens in the rear etc

With the top, bed rug and the other optional extras the original retail on this little number would have been £32,000.
If this was to go onto the front counter of a local dealer that I know reasonably well, it would, due to the condition, ultra low miles, and shear wanton lust of the thing be classed as 'prime stock' and have a £22,499 sticker in the window.

This is not a dealer sale, so, no finance, I don't want your honda civic in part ex, the coffee will come in a chipped mug and we don't have toilets suitable for ladies.
On the other hand, it's £17k cash as she is..

Amazing why would someone have a truck like that and never drive it. Id love one that's exactly what I would go for with that tiptronic auto box but I can't afford it now I've bought my house
