My new interior what do you think?

#1 by tomfc , Wed Jun 12, 2013 5:08 pm

Well i was looking for a new interior for my truck as the previous owner had dogs, so it smelt really bad inside.

So after looking around all the interiors from an L200 were either very basic or if i wanted the leathers they were extremely expensive. So i got on ebay and found some lovely half leather seats originally from a Pug 306 which were only a 10 minute drive from me, all for the grand sum of £25.

So after cutting up my old seats, taking all the needed bits off, i knocked up custom subframes for both the front seats and modified the rear. I have also made it so the rear seat fold forward like the original, only you have even more space behind the seats now as there is no arm rest in the rear seat.

The front seats use all the original fixings, as does the rear (the rear seat base has new mountings though)

Ill let the pics do the rest of the talking, Would be great to hear some feedback.

I had some 306 meridian seats on watching on ebay before I got the ones I have now, the only thing that put me off was the ones I saw had a lot of wear to the drivers bolster.
Looks like you've done a tidy job there mate, well done

Great work, Tom well done!

I reckon that took a decent amount of skill and effort - very professional looking result.

Ah cheers guys, im really happy with how they have come out. I feel they kind of look at home in the l200, i got very lucky with the door cards, was pure fluke that they kind of matched up.

Wish i had taken some pics as i went along so i could knock together a how to.

hear, hear ! I agree with everything above, except you should put in the buckets anyhoo - mine was a commercial vehicle - Rage buckets made it much better cornering offroad. I love dark interiors on vehicles.
