Hi,
I recently swapped the D5S bulbs for some LED ones that I brought, but they don’t fit as the ballast area wasn’t big enough to properly engage the spring tension on n the bulb holder.
I’ve replaced the original bulbs and now the beam pattern just isn’t the same - I appear to have a very bright strip of light at the extreme edge of the beam. I’m sure they’re seated correctly - have I missed a trick?

Sounds like they are not seated correctly, I would check again.

That’s what I thought. I’ve removed them and replaced them - is there a knack to it? It’s just 1/8 of a turn and they are locking.
