L200 B40 Seized ish, rocker broke confusion

Hi Folks!

Im out of my depth and confused.

So after driving at about 60 I heard a rattle from the engine and lost power. The clutch was engaged and coasted to a halt. The engine was seized. Towed home.

I removed the sump and saw nothing obvious. Plenty of oil, no sludge. So I removed the rocker cover and found a rocked broken in half. Cylinders 2 and 3 were at the top so couldn't see a reason why it was seized. Removed all the belts to prove it was the bottom end that was seized. So the last thing I've done is removed the crank caps to inspect them. At this point the crank became free ish. I've put them back and the crank seems free ish still. Any advice would be much appreciated.
