Hi
So I have now completed installation of the gearbox on my l200, minus a few wiring issues. but I am confused.

The transfer box appears to have 4 positions :/ ? It was 50mm longer which affected both shafts. Is this possibly super select or me being dull and paranoid again?

Anyone know how I could tell?

Also I have an old gear box to deal with, any ideas? Transfer stuck in 2wd though!

Unsure mate sorry can't help with that one, really need to know when the SS boxes came out, ask @Basil or @Nick .

Think the SS box came in when they first changed to the new shape, so would be @ 2005 /2006.
Was the first one able to run in 4x4 full time.

SS was late 2006 iirc. Fitted to high line models, later from 09 to Trojans also. Some early animals had the standard box though, fella down the road has it in his 06 animal new shape.

Is there not a transmission type number on the vin you could check with the cross referencing guide we have?

Is there a vin on the gearbox?? I don't think I've seen one.

This shouldn't cause a harm being super select anyway should it? If it is! It's just sensors being out

Not 100% on this but the SS has 4 settings, I think the ES only has 3.
Mine is a 56 plate warrior, has the SS box.

Correct SS has 2H,4H,4HLc, 4Llc, ES has 2H, 4H, 4L. Checked this morning and mates 06 definitely has ES.

Sorry lads been in work, my previous box has easy select, my new box seems to have 4 positions and different wiring that's why I'm puzzled. Anyone know if it would cause harm if it is?

You need to get another easy select box then, as your truck will not have the Viscous couplings to use a SS box.
