Matt,I know jack shit about computers,I hate the things,they are a law unto themselves but..I have a feeling it could be down to talk talk..seems odd they were ok before..now with new router they aren't..

dont know much about pooters and stuff but my hub thingy has a "sync" button that if you keep pressed will find all devices and ask me if I want to match/sync ........... dont know if this helps or not ?

Are you trying to connect through a proxy server? sounds like you laptop has some tickbox in the wrong ticked/unticked configuration. my suggestion would be burn it and leave technology for those with the capacity to use it.....

I agree it's going to be something daft that's not ticked or needs ticking.....I've even had both laptops side by side and have compared settings.....nothing is different.....gave up for now as it was doing my ed in!
