What's wrong now ?

The latest in the ever growing list of things to go wrong with this effing truck is as follows

A couple of times i have tried to start it from cold and it has been a pain and very reluctant to start infact today i had to give it a sniff of something stronger as it wasn;t gonna start at all......but here is the thing when it does start and i press the accelerater pedal....nowt ? no increase in revs just nothing...it ticks over but wont rev ? when it has ticked over for a couple of minutes then it will rev

What the F is that all about ?

Sounds like the fuel is running back to the tank

The primer is hard and you can maybe get 1 or 2 pumps of plunger at most ?

glow plugs are all working ok filter is less than 1000 mile old.....

What and where would cause fuel drop ?

It does feel and sound when i am turning it over that there is either a lack of fuel or air.

Can there be a lack of fuel if the primer is hard ?

Forgot to add....this doesnt happen all the time. This morning it started first time ( although it winds over a bit before firing ) then drove it about 10 mile where it wa.s parked up for about 6 hours then it wouldnt start

It has had work done on it almost daily for a year !

It has never been the best starter but it just seems to be getting worse and i am getting very near to taking it down the woods and putting it AND ME out of it's misery by blasting it to pieces with a shotgun

When it didn't start i popped the bonnet and tried priming it but the primer was pretty solid and tried it again but it still wasn't gonna go

The injectors are A ok and were tested prior to fitting

My money is still on the fuel pressure dropping, then it wont rev properly till it builds it back up.

another thing that happens is i have a flat spot just as i press the accelerater ...there is a momentory pause just below 1000 rpm where it seems to take a while to catch up so to speak. If i raise the tick over a tiny bit by pressing the pedal just a smidgen and then push the pedal hard it revs freely but if i push hard from tick over then there is a pause.

if that makes sense
