What year is it..?
I ask as my 2.8 did'nt have one.
Why change the axle,I never had a problem with the LSD.
And your mileage is good.

Hi
sorry its 52 plate.
i was under impression that locking dif is much better than LSD.

i am not sure if there is cat or not will have to check.
how about EGR is it there and what benefits are from blanking it off.

Mine was a 52 so its likely yours has no cat.Blanking the egr is a good move. You don't need the old gases sucking the life out of your engine. Both of my L200's had LSD's,I pushed both of them hard off road and never had a problem. As they say,if it ain't broke, don't fix it...

My 2.8 never had a cat on it. Still doesn't. LSD diff is a good diff, open most of the time but locks up,like a locker when you need it to. If you want it to lock up quicker when stuck or goin into crappy mud then just pull the handbrake up a few clicks.
As woody said, get the EGR or suicide unit off the truck. Simple job but let's your engine breathe cleaner and cooler.
Your mpg is pretty good. I'm getting about 24 out of my 2.8 but it does have a lot of mods on it.
The 2.8 is a good engine. Loads of grunt. Just keep the cooling system up to scratch and it will last a life time.

Thank You all for input and some explanation .

i do do some work on the cars but up to now it was Toyota Soarer 2,5 Twin turbo and mitsubishi legnum

i will defo stick with LSD then. save some time and effort.
i will look for egr blanking kit on ebay i think they are about 12 gbp so not to much.

my future plan is to lift back tube and waxoil the chassis and use extra coat of stone chip on the under part of tube. just to protect it better.
and extra spot lights on the front, and back for reversing in the forest etc.
