A 0.011 ratio offset between front and rear diffs causing problems? Front diff a 4.625 and rear a 4.636.

Dunno about the diffs but when @krutly had different sized tyres on I think he could feel the transmission winding up sometimes.

indeed I was running different size tyres on the rear of mine and could definitely feel some wind up at times ..... just made sure I only used it in 4wd when I had to

spud, have you got different ratios in yours then ?

GOOD LORD DON'T DO IT!
You will end up having to permanently slip a wheel in 4wd or wind up your transmission. This means one axle will always have a wheel slipping so you might as well run in 2wd. If you are looking for better gearing you could try changing tyre size, you will get a bigger change than 0.2%!
Or if you are looking at swapping for an LSD or diff lock you might be able to just swap over the crown and pinion gears and keep the same ratio.

I run my K-34 on 265/70/15s at the minute and I get decent mileage and the speedo is absolutely bang on.

Thanks for replies guys.
And @diggermandan this is what i had strongly suspected with the two different ratios. My intention is to get diff lock for rear, so now will be looking into crown & pinion swap possibilities or failing that i'll just replace front and back diffs completely with matching ratio ones from a 4 work model.
