Torque converter

#1 by AD , Tue Jan 13, 2015 6:37 pm

Do the classics have one?? Reason i ask is truck has been getting a rumble vibrating noise when decelerating. cv's uj's seem ok.

Told today about the torque converter but he did not know if they had them on a classic.

Any ideas welcome.

Manuals don't have torque converters so yours won't bud. Might have a dual mass flywheel on it. How's the centre prop bearing??

pretty sure there is no torque conv or dmf on a classic, if there was then motor factors would sell them and they appear to sell niether !

No torque converter in an manual and no dual mass fly wheel, prop center bearing or uj would be my guess.
