K74 Brake pipes MOT fail, advice please..

#1 by Kiwi , Tue Aug 04, 2015 12:28 pm

Hello, so my 52 plate L200 just failed MOT due brake pipe corrosion. Have got a quote from the garage for £200 to sort it, I can get the parts off Milners for around £70. My question is this, is there anyone who has done this job and how much of a pain in the *%#+ is it too do yourself? If it is child's play, I'm game, otherwise, if it requires the flexibility of a ballet dancer with fingers 10 inches long while being able to stand on your head and recite the national anthem, then I'll leave it to the local mechanic. Any ideas? Thanks in advance

Yeah ABS. Trouble is heading to Ulster GP today and need vehicle next week, so I've bitten the bullet, got the garage to do it. Timing sucks, but it was either that or cancel my trip to watch motorcycle racing, I don't think so! Ah well, cost of enjoying myself. Thanks for your help anyway, cheers....
