Any snake experts on here ?

I hooked this fellow out of my pool the other day ........ just wondered if any of you guys can identify it ......... other than " a snake"

Son has two snakes plus a scary spider etc,etc well into reptiles I will message him!


did have warrior, but crossed over to disco 2.
Thought I could see light at the end of the tunnel, but it was somebody with a torch bringing more work!

If your in the UK I would say a grass snake pritty lucky to see one if it is
adders are about 2 1/2 ft long but different markings

Well it aint my old girl. She's sitting happily in her viv atm. Unlike one feeding time when she decided she wanted to empty my tool cupboard!

what You got spud? Son has a 5ft corn snake beautiful, a rather chuncky boa, two gekkos, and a spiteful spider!!

Got Boas' mainly Paul. Two big uns, the mom and dad, she's about 11 foot long and about 3 stone, he's about 7 feet and around 2 stone. Then there's five smaller ones we kept from the big uns first litter. Two Royal / Ball Pythons and her indoors's orange lil bastid..... errr i mean lovely corn snake.

Paul is right in saying its a grass snake (Natrix natrix), sometimes called the ringed snake or water snake,
It is often found near water and feeds almost exclusively on amphibians.

so ........ grass/water snake it is then
and the snake is in north america if that makes a difference

I did hook a couple of these out too just in case anyone knows what sort it might be (dont say grass/water spider)
they were about 2 inches long and an inch or so wide

Snakes I like,spiders I don't...horrid things..looks like a young tarantula of some sort to me..possibly chile rose??

Never been near a snake enough to know if I like them but I love spiders, hate it when people squash them for no reason other then they don't like them, sooner have a house full of spiders then flies.

I won't kill a spider,nor am I afraid of them,just don't like them.ive held many snakes,lizards creepy craw lies etc.i don't like killing anything.
