Rear brake line

#1 by dazmanf , Mon Aug 24, 2015 9:54 pm

Need to replace brake line for mot, need longer one. Company in England can do a custom one for £18 but charging £10 delivery for something that can go in a jiffy bag and post for a couple of pound.

Anyhoo, got a brake line coupling and plan on joining two brake lines to get the job done.
Question is. Will any of the two shorter front lines be suitable to join the back as another back line would be too long.

Sorry for the above story

Daz, an auto factors or garage should make them up to the correct length for very little money.
I bought a brake line kit for around £25 English pounds, didn't take long at all, although not as tidy as the original. I tye-wrapped them into place instead if using the clips.

Had went into North West Motor Factors in Coleraine but they were usless, don't make them up and wouldn't look for a poss work around.
Ended up going to a small motor shop and getting a joint

Double read time! Going to a motor factors for a joint .... Cracking service ! Bet Halfrauds can't do that!

And have to ditto the fix. Go small, that sort of shop seems to have people that actually work on cars and know how to get their hands dirty without falling over!
