Fixing Air Conditioning system into a 4Life

#1 by ngariama2007 , Tue Oct 13, 2015 3:25 pm

How hard or easy is it to fix an AC System into my truck? It does not have one. Where I am, that's damn inconvenient as it gets rather hot during the day.

And what parts do I need to be able to do this myself?

lots involved mate compressor pipe work dash out to install the evaporator wiring controls relays

I think it would be easier to buy a warrior with AC

Heheh!! Am in Nairobi, Kenya @Jon Grimsby. And right now, this place is seriously hot and will get hotter as December nears. @123hotchef, will def start looking for a wreck for that. Not many folks buy this truck here. They fear it like hell, dont understand how it works actually. Likely getting a wreck will turn out into a long search.

Any recommendations on a garage or outfit that breaks up trucks that I can buy the complete system from and have it shipped here?

Thanks @Nick. Checking it now. @123hotchef a direct bolt on would be best. Mechs here will do stuff even when they are not very sure of it. Likely I would be putting my truck on death row thereafter.
@4life greg, checking the forum now.
Much appreciated

Well if you can find a warrior or animal with ac breaking that would be your best bet as it will bolt straight on then just need wiring up don't forget the switch and loom from the donner truck
