Clutch replacement 56 Animal Curved Bed

#1 by jimmythesaint , Sat Jan 02, 2016 9:04 am

Morning guys

Long time no post.....

HNY to you all...

Sadly it seems as though my clutch is slipping badly so I believe its going to need replacing sooner rather than later. Have been seeing differing prices for clutch kits ranging 100 - 250 that's without labour.

What are your thoughts on parts purchase and average labour/time to complete?

Also need to change the standard headlamps {candles} whats is the flavour of the month for those?

Many thanks in advance to any help, much appreciated

All the best

Jimmy

Cheers thanks although further Q..

Not sure what 'speedy or luk' is or are?
Milners I found but only found a fly wheel conversion kit....so got confused.
K&S I presume are a brand are they?

Why not change it myself? - Great question, I could throw loads of excuses but to be fair, laziness, lack of tooling or garage space, lack of patience, lack of knowledge, I did have a quick search for that How To but scuppered at first hurdle.

Now I just scared the missus having got a quote for Genuine Mitsi fitted over 1000 and eve after market fitted over 700.......anyone fancy a few quid doing it for me?

Wows...

Cheers in advance.....

Just to add I am now super confused on the exact model I have, the V5 docs don't seem to show the same B or K codes for the models. Mine shows as KB4T variant Euro 4 version......

Agree 700 is a bit steep , I only paid 800 and that included a new flywheel at £300+vat!
