I removed the EGR valve and blanked off. When I drive above 50mph and floor the accelerator pedal their is no power and the EML comes on. If I stop and switch engine off and restart EML is off and she drives ok. It seems to happen as I go above 50mph or drive up a hill and floor it. If I press pedal slowly she accelerates ok.... What could the problem be I wonder?

Did you put a bung in the end of the vacuum pipe you removed from the egr valve ...and I'm taking it its a classic shape?

I put a screw in the end of the rubber pipe. Yes it's a 2003 2.5 diesel.

theres no reason why it should come on then from just removing the EGR, providing that screw is a tight fit...maybe a coincidence and you getting overboost? ( @123hotchef )

Thought of that but the top adjustment bolt on the turbo is probably only one full turn from being fully in....
