Could anyone tell me what the small thing mounted to the chassis right behind the fuel tank does?? Sounds like a pump doing some rewriting and no idea what it does. 04 2.5 l200 warrior

It's the diff lock pump. The switch in the cab on mine is by the handbrake needs turning off/ it may be a fault because if the pump was activating the diff lock you
A/ are in 4x4
B/ if on the road would blow the rear diff
Check the pipes going to the pump are ok it should only come on for a few seconds

Thanks had a feeling it was something to do with that
