just finishing the walk in larder at front of garage and was thinking of fitting a pir sensor to light switch so we don't walk across in dark to switch on.Before it is said I can't access wiring to move switch! was going to run wire along ceiling/wall edge
Can I fit one of these and what is the wiring sequence

They do do a occupancy switch that simply replaces your existing switch, I have used these in the past. But it will depend on the range & if the switch is pointing towards you?

The two links you put up, those will also work on the ceiling next to the light fitting, with a wire out of the sensor to the light. (Easy to wire)

Or another option (but possibly not the easiest) would be to run a bit of 1.0mm triple (3core & earth) from the existing switch and put another switch where ever you want & this will make the light two way switched.

RF lightwave do a range of switches which are wireless, but I am guessing your larder would not warrant this kind of expense?

Or finally they make light fittings with built in microwave sensors that will switch the light on from a distance (and no you can't cook your food in it!) This option would probably be the most expensive.

Personally I'd go with something like you found on Ebay
