Got the new pipes fitted tonight (thanks Milners offroad) Took a bit of farting about to bleed the system but looks like all systems are go. left it at work to see if it will start in the morning & if so then it will be home tomorrow night.

fingers crossed.

If anything else is wrong then it can only be the filter head as the rest is new & the tank is clean.

nice one Alan leave that cheap fuel alone in future!

Was heading from the tip to B&Q last night (7pm) and gave your work a drive-past on the off-chance you were there, but I just checked the car park - never thought to glance in the windows

Hope that's it pretty much done, now!

Well folks ITS HOME .

Brought it home last night & runs but feels slightly underpowered so the pump timing might still be slightly off. However when left to stand for a while it takes a fair bit of cranking before it starts, I had an idea what was the cause so I have bypassed the filter & filter head by fitting an inline filter direct to the pump & its fine now. So I need to get a new filter head & the pump timing sorted.

On a side note, we also examined the barrels that the fuel I used was in. the one I got was an old alloy cleaner one that we use at work. The stuff is corrosive as hell so that would explain whats been happening with the pumps. Now that its fully cleaned out I shouldnt have any peoblems & Ive done 60 miles so far.

Thanks to all for the words of encouragment on here as it kept me going as I was close to going nuts....... well nuttier

Thanks again all

Al
