they are bolt on - there is nothing to support the bracket whereas when fitted, they will have the chassis rail to bite on, and will be much stronger - my view on these is that I don`t go rock crawling , and as its my day work car , I`ll never go crazy (lol) offroad , so they`ll mostly be for appearance, rather than bouncing off rocks, specially after ma bj spacers are on

i was thinking that myself Danne!!

With three brackets bolted to the chassis they will not bend unless you smack them straight in the side with a great deal of force. Then you'll stand more chance of bending the chassis than the sliders.
I have carried these and seen them up close and personal, they are a bit mean chaps...

funny you say that Geoff...

ever since fitting the snorkel, it's always struggled after 3200, boost drops right off. but before snorkel, it went like poo off a stick!!

I`ll take a pic - its obviously happened in transit as you would n`t let them out as the bolt holes don`t line up - i`ll bend it back before pc and alls good - major piece of ironwork steve - did you get the PP?

I am with you Geoff, I will never take my truck through or up hills where it might get scratched/rolled or stuck - still a fair bit of money in it (hey, I got stuck once - at least I tried)

when the u channel has got nothing between it ,it can bend, but once bolted to the chassis, its strengthend by the chassis. so will not bend.
