injector pump sensors

#1 by railman , Tue Mar 31, 2015 7:50 pm

just taken injector pump off to fix rear mounting bolts so tested all the sensors on pump. checked resistance against manual but some of the sensors are about 0.4 ohms low, before started would start and drive ok but when stopping revs would drop and would stall and only restart with bump, would low resistance be causing this and if so is it new pump or can sensors be replaced

I have to admit to knowing little about this variant of the pump as mine is the fully mechanical Bosch/Zexel VE job.

its the timer piston position sensor giving 152.8, 76.6 & 76.6 ohms don't know how good multimeter is, don't know if temperature has affect as its brass monkey, might take it to local garage and see what readings they get
