Please tell us a little about yourself and where abouts your are from.

If you wish to see more of the site , maybe The How to section of jobs members have carried out or maybe the online manuals then please upgrade your membership. It is completely free and all we ask is that you Private Message Admin your name, address and postcode ( look for the box marked ' Private Messages ' in the top light blue banner, about a third of the way across). we only ask you to do this as it discourages ' spammers ' and ensures only genuine members are upgraded. Your details will never be used for anything else and never passed to anyone else.

Please Note : On average your upgrade should take up to 48 hrs but there are times when it may take longer, please be patient but Admin does it in their spare time

If you have any pressing questions then please ask in the ' Ask Admin /Moderators ' section. Most of the upgraded members have access to this section. We do ask , when posting , that you can supply some basic information about your truck to enable a more focused answer. If you are unsure of which series/mark of L200 you have please follow this link Identifying your ' Series ' of L200

If we could also just ask you to stick a pin in our map for an approx location then our regional reps, when organising events , will be able to contact people within their areas
Adding yourself to the forum Map

Could just let us know where you heard about the L200Forum from please that would be great.
How did you find the L200Forum?

Many Thanks

Thanks for the add and hello all.
I've owned a 56 plate (newer shape) L200 4work for 4 years now. We got it at a good price and it's not missed a beat. We use it for carrying our kite surfing kit to the beach and all the kids stuff! I also occasionally use it to supply welding equipment in the local area. Unfortunately it now has a fuel delivery problem and keeps going into limp mode..... hence I've joined here to ask the experts!

Cheers,
Paul

Hi 123HotChef,
Haven’t been told fault code. Initially my wife was having problems so took it to a garage. She was told fuel delivery problems. Garage said try fuel addiitive. After not working, she got the fuel filter changed. I have since taken it to the local garage who also mentioned problems with the high pressure fuel pump and when I mentioned SCV (From reading here) they said yes. They said they could not repair and it would have to go to a diesel specialist.
I’m not mechanically minded but I think I could prob do the SCV myself with a few pointers. Does the ECU need to learn it once its been installed or is as easy as removing and changing?

Initial symptoms: L200 would drive fine but at mid level revs, would hesitate and then pull. This got worse and now, as soon as you give it some revs it goes straight to limp mode and engine management light comes on. You can r-start engine and drive conservatively it drives but as soon as you give it beans it goes straight to limp mode again.

What do you think? Does it sound like SCV and could a lay person do it with a socket set?

Thanks all,

Paul
