1997 Mitsubishi L200 2.5 TD 4x4 Front brake disc Removal

#1 by samIOW , Tue Apr 07, 2015 10:16 pm

Hi,

Please excuse if this has already been discussed , I have tried searching but can't fine any reference to this query.

I have just changed the front disc pads and noticed the nearside front Disc had got some deep score marks and will have to be replaced.

My problem is that I can't find and information about how to go about this, I am unsure about the auto free wheel hubs on the ends which is stopping me from removing the discs, My one has 4 allen screws holding a domed plate.

Any help advice or links would be appreciated .

Regards

Jobs fairly straightforward. Not 2 difficult. Did mine the other day. Bout an hour a side. Got a homemade hub nut tool for torque ing the bearings back up if ya need it. Give us a shout if ya want it and il post it.

Who doesn't love shooting!!
Here's a quick pic of that doodad. It's very simple (like me) but works well.
Bild entfernt (keine Rechte)

It's just 2 M8x60mm bolts welded to a flat bar with a 1/2" socket welded on the other side. Only 1/2" as that is what my large torque wrench is. The bolts are 60mm apart from the centres of the bolts.
Very easy to make one but if you want this one then let me know and il post it to you.

What's the address buddy??
Generally just vermin and game. Prefer going out for duck, pidgeon and rabbit. Get bored with pheasants round here as they are mainly fat and slow which isn't very sporting or much fun. Had my shotguns for years but only just got my rifle this year. Only got a 22lr at the mo but I'm saving up for a 177hmr which is also on my ticket.
