Jimmy don't forget to support the centre of the rubber hose mate, a 'P' clip where the intercooler bracket was at the top.

Agree with Lez, he linked me to these guys when I was looking single core, really good price, even with postage to northern ireland, worked out cheaper with more wire than local businesses

Greased the steering ball joints & prop shaft joints. Good job because i found coolant weeping/leaking from the thermostat outlet so I gave the jubilee clip screw another half turn and marked the water level in the expansion tank and will keep an eye on things over the next week or so.
Funny thing is it only leaked while the engine was first started and cold so no pressure in the system and stopped completely when warm.
Has anyone else had this problem?

Barney, dont forget our old enemy expansion mate, rubber gets thicker and the outlet pipe would end up about 1mm wider too, when it started to get warm..

Agreed, it took me 6 months to locate the split rubber on my tranny due to this, did not become apparent until the engine was warmed... I replaced many jubilee clips until I found that there was a small split in the rubber pipe.

Good point Lez the pipe looks to be the original one so probably time to fit a new one along with a thermostat.
Just a bit frightened to drain the coolant, replace things so it can develop an air lock and blow the head gasket or am i just being a bit too cautious. Lol

Little overcautios mate, you'll probably find that it'll never leak again....... is there any reason to do the thermostat ?

No reason she runs with gauge halfway town/motorway with no oil in water or bubbles in expansion tank the coolant is a good clean pink colour so just as i was in the general area might be a good idea.
I’ll see how it goes over the next few days.
