Blinking Indicators!!

#1 by Paxmanmerv , Wed Apr 10, 2019 9:13 am

Mornin all!
Well the title was as polite as i could get.
Got an issue on our old L200. Its an X reg motor & has served us real well. Recently, the indicators have been playing up. Sometimes they would work, sometimes not... Now they just don't work atall! No Indicators & no Hazard lights. Fuse is ok.
Am thinking maybe flasher unit...Am i on the right lines or should i be looking elsewhere?
Many thanks all!

I'd go for a bad earth ... and as it's an old one I'd replace the bulbs and relay just because they've already given you their best. As the fiery cook says if it's gotta hitch give that a good dose of looking at ... especially where the splice was made.

Alrightee!
Thanks for all the info & suggestions, invaluable fer sure.
Found the offending item. Jump lead from the top relay connector to a large Hella Flasher unit behind the instrument panel. Swapped it for an old one that works & hey presto! all good.
Got a new one on order & will see it later today.
Many thanks all!
