drivers seat

Sorry not an L200 post, but a motorhome one! I have two leisure batteries in the autocruise . ( peugeot boxer) additional one is under drivers seat! bot are wet batts ( they were not sealed gel ones I never know!) need to top up water, original behind seat is easy, but the one under is inaccessible! looks like you have to strip the seat out to check/top up!! Is there an easy way to take the seat out? looks like 6 hex screws BUT a normal alan key won't fit the gap!! any ideas guys, typical french idea!!!
