excess smoke

hi guys, got a 4 life that's kicking out blue smoke, still starts n drives no problem with no loss of power, suspect turbo seal, any advice. cheers, daves truk.

Could be your intercooler needs a good clean out. they can collect oil if your turbo weeps a little.

will give it a good clean out after work,,every so often it gives out a puff of smoke n then its not so smoky for e few miles, doesn't half freak drivers out behind it lol.

Blue is a sign of oil but smoke means lots of things... If it is inherently very smokey, has the timing jumped a tooth or the has the timing belt reached the end of it's life. They should be changes every 50k or so. Hopefully it's just a grubby intercooler, but if it is the timing, it's not a bad job. just takes the best part of a day if you know what a spanner is.
