L200 bonnet to high after rebuild

#1 by markus19 , Sat Jul 25, 2020 7:28 pm

Hi guys finally got my l200 rebuilt on the front end however when the bonnet is shut
There is a gap round the top of the lights and if you press down on the bonnet it closes up making me think the bonnet needs to snap down further is there any ajustment that can be made ?

can you move the locking mech further down on the upright below the slam panel ? or possibly the upright itself ?

You sure it's not hitting the top of the rad or the intercooler mounts? it looks like those mounts are a little squiffy, but hard to tell from photo.

If you push down on the bonnet you can get it down another half a inch or so which is what it needs but springs back up when let go

I suppose you could however the oil coolee is fixed on the upright so i would say would cause issues with that
