body lift kit

#1 by malky , Sun Nov 27, 2011 1:43 pm

Right as I now have my truck on a full time basis I am thinking of lifiting it slightly to give me space for some bigger tyres.

whats the score guys? Whats the max lift i can get before i have to change the brake lines? if i lift the body only by say 2 inches whats the biggest wheels and tyres i can fit?

I'm not really that interested in doing a suspension lift but if the overwhelming weight of advice is to do so i may consider it.

Does anyone have a recommendation for lift kits and manufacturers?

bear in mind i am in an 05 classic warrior so i cant get the thailand 7" lift kit.....:P

cheers

Malky

aye check the threads malky, but i wish i `d lifted mine x3" instead of 2" - in my gallery the 33x12.5 x15 kumho`s still rubbed on turn and compression of the suspension - big tyres mind
the 265x70x16 now are just peachy. - do you have spacers on yet?

They do that proper lift kit for the classics to kid, have a proper check.

For the price of a suspension lift its daft not to if your wanting a lift. A 2" bodylift will need flexi's like, if your wanting a lift i say go for suspension first then bodylift then big tyres

Stick cheers for the words, i'm thinking ignoring such sage advice would be potentially foolhardy so I'll look at suspension lift first, mind - i already have my eye on a 3" body lift kit now after some digging about,.

ach it'll be next year now before i start too bloody close to the fat fella in the red suit turning up.

cheers

Wanted to lift mine ? after lots and lots of thinking , gona leave it i would lose the roof top fogs (because i have a car port and she only just gets under now !) wouldn't be able to go to pensarn beach cos of height or the Lowery shopping . Love the look tho' gona do wheel spacers and some chunky tyres
besides i dont go off road so much , bout 4/5 times a year .
