2013 L200 Timing belt disaster. What next?

#1 by GunnerBill , Thu May 27, 2021 9:31 am

It happened, 72000 miles timing belt went. Coasted to a stop...

I don't yet knowhow bad it is, finding that out over the next couple of days but planning ahead.

What are my options for:

1. New/recon Engine - Where would be the best place to source such a beast etc.

2) Repair. If possible, best place for parts and are there any performance upgrades I could do at the same time? I know literally nothing about performance tuning diesel engines other than "re-map" so any advice welcome.

You can add an Agritune box, they are plug n play so easy to fit.
Takes the power up a fair bit and improves MPG.
