And a big big Thank you Cheffy for being on the end of the phone when I was stranded!

So is it possible that the cam belt may have jumped a tooth or what's the thoughts on how the balance belt caused the rockers to snap?

I will probably look at the weekend mate, just a tadge on the nervous side as I'm not sure what I'm looking for.

I reckon it must be down there somewhere, I did have part of the top plastic casing crack upwards as if something had hit it from inside & there are fresh smooth scuff marks on the plastic bit and also there its a scuff on the timing belt. I need to be changing this for certain.
(I am kinda hoping the "legend" that is @LezT is driving past my house by chance & could have a cheeky quick look for me)

I guess it would be prudent to change the other fan belts etc etc whilst I'm in that sorta area?

They dont vibrate to much. No need to take the bumper off, remove the rad, pulley & cover then use a mirror to look at the lower bits.

Thank you so much Lez! (And to everyone else who has helped)

So the bottom pulley has to be changed as well Cheffy? Ok, so here's a list of bits I think I need to be ordering today from Milners:-

Rocker set & shaft (Kindly from Alan G)
Cam belt
Balance belt (I do think I will be doing some motorway driving & am not liking the the thought of vibration) unless the general consensus is to leave it off & I won't hardly notice the vibration???
Rocker cover gasket
The little plastic circlip things that are on the end of the Rockers (not sure if Alan G's has them on?)
A little plastic coned rocker box washer (1 dropped down the side of the engine, between the exhaust manifold & I cannot find it for love nor money)
Fan belt full set
Water pump?
Lower pulley & bolt?
Sump washer (as I want to drain the oil & change the filter)

Anything else whilst I am there that I have missed?

Just out of interest, for future reference, Are the aftermarket Cam kits like Milners one good and reliable or is it best to buy direct from Mitsibishi?

My brother txt me last night to ask how I was getting on with my truck? This was my txt reply:-

Yo! The truck is still quite poorly😟. I can't really afford garage prices right at this moment in time, tax bill!, so I am going to do a lot of the work myself. Then in approx 2weeks time, a guy off the L200 forum (@LezT ) (he is the equivalent of a L200 STIG, he has been known to rebuild an engine, with his feet, whilst dangling from a helicopter at 37000ft, blind folded and his eyes super glued together!) he is going to kindly help redo all the timing and fit the new belts etc & rockers😎.
So in the mean time, the yellow smart car is being MOT'd today hopefully, I will swap over the insurance from the Audi, stick a little tax on it for £60 & I will fingers crossed be mobile again for the time being😎xx

No mate!! Lez is going to come up one evening and do it for me.................... However I have to prepare the patient first for the operation............which leads me on nicely to ask the following question.....

HOW THE HELL DOES THE RADIATOR COME OUT??????????

I undone the top brackets, I un-done the fan cowling, I snapped off the two bottom bolts on the fan cowling and finally disconnected the pipes and I cannot lift the radiator out as there seems to be a bottom hose which won't pass the fan cowling and you can't get the fan cowling out, as it is stopped by the fan itself???

Am I being completely stupid here??
