Washed the truck today for the first time since being dipped. This is where the dip really pays off. Interesting experience though, reminding yourself that you don't need polish or wax. Feels very alien.

Soap and a sponge definitely helps lift the dirt still:

Wouldn't say you can just pressure wash it and walk away.

Pressure washed with pure water.

Amazing how fast this stuff dries. This was just a few minutes after rinsing.

Finished result. Very quick to do. Happy days.

Circa £500 assuming the prep is just a damn good clean and mask up. If you need rust or scratches repaired first then it will naturally cost more.

You jest no? Because that would look crap!
The bull bar and steps will be going. Winch bumper and rock sliders will eventually take their place. Both in gloss black. Wheels I think gloss black steelies too.

Soon my friend soon But it I'm pretty sure going to make my wheels look too far set in. Will need some steelies to fill out the arches.

Yeah I think it needs the contrast of gloss black. Then I'm going to add some more red accents. The rear drums are already red, the bash guard will need to be redone. I'm going to copy @4life-extreme (thank you) with his red snorkel intake. Then I'm going to have the steel wheels red pin striped. That should do it

Not sure that you could vinyl wrap over PlastiDip. Don't know if it would stick, but pretty sure it would pull the dip off if you didn't like it. I may have found a cheaper source of aerosol cans for things like this. So if I did it red it would be a case of peeling the black off and redoing in red. But I do like the black for now. Far better than the silver before.

Just done my first repair today. Should have taken pictures. Didn't, sorry. Some kids barrelled into the truck the other day causing a chip in the dip and a tear. Followed the dipyourcar guidelines and thinned out the edge with PlastiDip thinners, keeping it wet. Once smooth, let it dry. Then several coats of dip from an aerosol. No need to mask, or blend. Got some over spray on the head light which rubbed off once dry. Job done. Simples Good thing is the dip did it's job and protected the paint underneath. Took less than an hour whilst letting it dry. Between coats I've been on here and am watching Le Mans. Couldn't be easier.

Well done Yoda on a excellent looking truck!! I too can't wait to see the arches and black wheels.

I came across these pics which emphasis your look. The arches, front spoiler and back step look to be a perfect contrasting pewtar or dark grey!? That looks awesome!!

Your truck looks mean man!! I thing Yoda's light sabre in central tailgate position would look pretty cool too!!

warning - aerosols are closer than they appear! (ace venturer)

sounds like good stuff, be interesting to see if it fades, as it obviously soaks up heat and presumeable uv too
