Sorry been away and real busy, it never comes at the right time. Am sure it's the turbo, engine management light, no power, black smoke oil in the air inlet, sump down about two ltrs after checking it on Friday. Going to enjoy the sun today and start stripping it tomorrow. How's everyone here doing?

I'm guessing , Steve, that the oil must have gone somewhere and it sounds like it's burning it for a pastime
hope you get it sorted bud

Couldn't let it go, spent an hour under the bonnet this evening. Found most of the oil in the inlet manifold, turbo pipes ans soothing up the Egr. Impeller has more free play than most kids at school so unit out tomorrow strip and rebuild inbound. To top it all off sheared egr cooler bolt in exhaust manifold so yet another job to add to the list.

You got to love your L200.

Just the heat shield between the turbo and block, than the turbo, although how I'm going to get the bottom nuts off who knows. Up side got all the oil out of the intake. Soaked all the nuts again when got home so hope nothing else shears. Workshop manual makes it look so simple in the diagrams. Figures like pigs you know what doesn't make it easy.

Can't get turbo out with the manifold still in place so looks like going to have to strip out both intake and exhaust just to the get turbo off. Would loved to have just pulled turbo out without taking too much apart.
