Getting thru the pipe work today. Electrics all done now. Hopefully my flywheel will be back on Wednesday.

After 9 weeks the bloke couldn't do it. So now I'm having one completely custom made with twin plate racing clutch to take the torque. Bout another 3 weeks I reckon. They've had all the stuff 2 week now. Company called CG motorsports. real nice guy. Got To change the clutch slave from pull to push tho. Sorted that out. Got a commercial concentric slave off a merc van installed. Just more faff. It will be very strong and reliable wen done tho.

Well still got no sodding flywheel. Still waiting. I got stuck in the van out shooting at the weekend and all I could think was that a 4x4 would have got through this. Transits do not do tractor ruts if anyone has an incling to try. It did well. But not good enough. 4wd transit for the next project maybe.

shouldnt be bad part wise as the newer defender has got the tranny 2.2 engine and box with a landrover transfer box on the back of it.
having a fair bit of trouble getting that flywheel made

Spoke to the guy today and he said Defoe next week to come out with it all done on the back side. Then just take measurements and cut the front face back to the right size. Hopefully not long now. I'm getting tired of waiting.

Well finally got the flywheel sorted.

Now just need to get the gearbox 25mm further forward as we can't push the the flywheel out any more as it will be too heavy. 2 options. Either get a lengthened lay shaft or cut and weld the bell housing. Goanna try suss some things out tomorrow over many cups of tea and a pack of chocolate hobnobs.

Welded the grinder to a flat plate so I could get even cut lines. Needed to take 30mm out.

All cut and back in the jig. Measured it all so it's true and level. Ready for tacking.
